Week 4. A data product without a concrete adoption strategy fails, same as any other product.
- Positioning — speak the language of the domain; use the rich semantics from your semantic model as your pitch. Share concrete use-case insights: boosting a metric, running RCA on a metric, or detecting a low-yielding initiative.
- Increasing usage — native accessibility (work with the tools the user already uses), custom builders for new tools/APIs they adopt, accessible documentation (a git repo of templates/samples/case studies), a product FAQ, and support.
- Downstream updates — a streamlined, standard way to notify downstream consumers when something changes.
- Adoption boosters — reviews, and usage metrics on the most-used assets/pipelines.
